My first marketing assignment for Lego’s retail site! www.Shop.Lego.Com

This exclusive Spaceman Mini-Figure and robot were offered during a Sept 2014 VIP event within the Lego stores and the online shop.

Marketing asked me to create a panel by panel comic page featuring the two characters visiting various old Space Sets offered by Lego in the past, beginning in the 1980s. They gave me a list of sets to choose from to feature. I changed the idea from a traditional comic panel layout to an open poster with the figures flying through space viewing “portals” in time for each set/year.

The artwork was used in the U.K. but not in the U.S. for some unknown reason. The center images feature the final art used on the Lego Shop sites overseas.

First image is of the final digital colors before reworking for the sites. Last image is my Spaceman flying layout over my final inks of all the sets.

Created using Manga Studio 5EX and Photoshop.

LEGO HERO FACTORY comic pages I created for the U.K. edition of the LEGO CLUB Magazine. Final art for page TWO of two without the text along with my early layout for the page.

Figures and creatures from the INVASION FROM BELOW HF line.

All art created digitally in Manga Studio and Photoshop.
